Speck is made with the pork leg that is seasoned and then cold smoked. It's very popular in the North-North/East of Italy, but it's also produced in Austria. Speck has a strong, but yet delicate smoky flavor that makes it one of the most loved charcuterie of all in Italy.

Speck it's perfect for your afternoon "merenda" or aperitivo with an amazing slice of bread, but it's also used for some of the best pasta sauces you will ever taste or a salad.
